Show the results first and foremost. Otherwise, you are just flapping your gums.

Great video except for not warning people who grow tomatoes outside about scalding.

Look at how much energy you are putting in the compost pile. They should have been pruned earlier and often. Of course itis a trade off.

Thanks. Plants not in a greenhouse, however, will scald here in Georgia if you don't leave some leaves for shade.

It seems you are basically leaving the suckers. Is that correct?

You can only do this if you're doing it in a greenhouse if you're doing it outside in the sun the plants need protection.

Not too sure about this method. I did it once and I got less tomatoes. The tomato plants looked so empty. I don't think this export idea is so good. I'd rather do it the old way and I get tons of tomatoes. I tried this method last year and got less fruits.

I grow mine over a hog fence panel shaped as arch. Dont prune at all, insane yields.

Total BS I prune some suckers off but they need leaves to absorb sunlight for the health of the plant..everyone is an internet hero suddenly listening to these pros

This advice should be in a compost pile.

I took the solar panels off my roof so the grid directs more energy to my house

Don't they need more leaves than that to draw energy from the Sun🤔

Mine do best if I leave them alone and let them go wild. Any pruning releases stress hormones which slows growth. There’s two sides to every coin

This advice is for commercial situations growing vertically. Your average grower with a few plants is going to have more success with lateral growth.

Those who are ditching this idea must be doing something wrong. See how tall her plants are? I bet you all are pruning too soon.

The leaves arent "consuming energy" they are harvesting energy from the sun

The video I saw of you last night said “don’t prune tomatoes”! Lol 🤦🏼‍♀️ you said pruning only makes them grow bigger and less tomatoes.

This is terrible advice. The "energy" the plant needs to grow fruits comes from the leaves. You want as many healthy leaves as possible for more fruit. The main reason for pruning is to stop diseases spreading from the bottom up.

Is this only for indoor gardening? Controlled environments temperature and watering?! Not everyone can afford that, and as tomatoes prefer direct sun will taking so much of the foliage leave them exposed to pests or disease if planted directly in the ground??
