Uhm, what about nutrients? Those ceramic balls are just a structural material without any actual food for the plants. And sure, black sock will prevent algae from growing, but mold will still find this environment attractive

If it is 1 teaspoon of MaxiGrow 10-5-14 per gallon, how do you cut it so you know how much to per quart or per liter.

could you use amber colored mason jars instead of using the sock with a clear jar to prevent algae?

Subscribed. I’m going to binge all your videos. I really want to get into hydroponics and from what I see you don’t need an expensive set up.

Hello, I am interested in hydroponics, so far, I have some plants in water, but lately I have been dealing with fungus gnats, how do you stop that problem? lately I have been using mosquito bits, its taking time, I have many seed sprouting in dirt but I see the fungus everywhere and I was wondering if they can still lay eggs in the clay pellets, any information i will greatly appreciate. thanks.

I love this so much. I'm setting up my elderly friend with mason jar Kratkys. He lives in a small apartment so he can set these in a sunny window. Later on we'll add LED lights.

Did you say they get their oxygen? Am I misunderstanding plant metabolism? I thought they “breathe” CO2 and and “exhale” oxygen. But I’m not a botanist. Is there something I’m missing?

I would like to see the full video, but the one you put into one of the comments is a lot to try to type and cannot be copied by the hold-and-click method. The links in the description can be copied, however, so perhaps you could type the video link there for easier access. 😊
I looked on your page but don't know which video matches this short. Thanks.
