Every town in this country should have several of these types of farms going. We have to get away from living out of a box or can or bag of carbs pressed into shapes.. Cash cropping with million dollar tractors is not farming like it was done and it's not honest farming most of the time. This though is a proper example of real farm.

This is very inspiring. I'm starting small as well. Just harvested my first crop of big beef tomatoes and also have blue lake green beans and Catawba grapes just starting to show the beginnings of fruit. My red potatoes are just about ready to be dug out, and some white ones, too! It really is time consuming, but I look forward to the day when I can just do this full time! I love the whole growing process! Getting ready to plant so many more things and I am stoked! Learning so much from you YouTube growers out here!

Man i remember i had this neighbor name John and he had less than half of one acre and my brother and i watched him tend his huge garden for hours day in & day out. He gardened abd grew his own food, fruits and vegetables for over 64 years. He lived until he was 93 years old. I was always amazed watching him take such great care of his garden. He loved being a farmer. With all these tariffs and fear of empty shelves that will be happening, I'm sure plenty if us Anericans are kicking ourselves for not learning on how to be farmers and growing our own food.

Made my heart so happy to see two men geeking out over what they love most. I've been drawn to farming lately. reframing my sense of life and success after things in life had to pull me away from original plans. The idea of cultivating fills me with so much peace and joy — and this was incredibly inspiring. Thanks for this!

I'm curious about the pricing. Farmers markets always seem to be higher than grocery. The quality and freshness I'm guessing is why. Can you tell me how much you charge for lettuce, for carrots, examples of all would be nice. Another thing is he lives in California correct? So he can grow year round? Here in Michigan is like a 3 month season looking for any tips in a colder climate. Thanks great video, I would love to garden for a living. Oh, I didn't hear anything about pesticides, does he use them? Thanks again

What I'd like to ask is does he change the crop location every year? So that for example, he's not growing lettuces in the same spot every year?

The otger commenter is saying that having a little pond in there would be good. Probably because water has a high heat capacity. Makes the temperature more stable. Plus you can put water plants in there and fish for fertilizer.
