    Mosquito Bits, a popular pest control product, uses BTI as its main ingredient. These corn cob granules coated with BTI are effective against fungus gnat larvae in houseplants. Applied by sprinkling on soil or as a "BTI tea," the BTI is ingested by the larvae. The BTI then releases toxins in their gut, leading to their death and breaking the fungus gnat life cycle. Fungus gnats, small flies whose larvae can harm plant roots, are a primary target of BTI in products like Mosquito Bits.
